Military Families: Welcome to John Paul II!

Relocating is never simple—especially when it comes to finding the right school for your child. At John Paul II Catholic School (JPII), we understand the unique rhythm of military life, and we’re honored that you’re considering our school for your middle school and high school student.

A Warm Welcome for Military Families

JPII has long been a place where military-connected students and parents quickly feel at home. Many of our teachers and staff come from military family backgrounds, so we understand PCS transitions, deployment seasons, and the importance of consistency, connection, and community.

From your first inquiry to your child’s first day, our goal is simple: make your transition smoother—and your family’s experience joyful and supported.

Rooted in Our Catholic Mission

As a Catholic school, JPII exists to do more than educate—we strive to form the whole child: mind, body, and spirit. Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the example of St. John Paul II, we partner with parents to help students grow in:

  • Faith and moral character
  • Academic excellence and strong study habits
  • Service to others and leadership through compassion
  • Community grounded in respect, dignity, and belonging

Whether your family is Catholic or exploring Catholic education for the first time, you will find a school community committed to welcoming, supporting, and walking alongside you.

Support During Every Transition

We know that military moves often come with tight timelines. JPII is ready to help you navigate the process—from admissions to records to scheduling—so you can focus on settling into your new home.

Your primary point of contact is our Admissions Director, Anne McClure, who will guide you step-by-step and help coordinate tours and next steps.

Student-to-Student Connections

Military families often share that the hardest part of a move is helping their child feel known and included. JPII’s Student Ambassador Team helps make that easier by:

  • Assisting with open house tours
  • Welcoming student visitors
  • Helping new students get connected to peers, routines, and campus life

Discover the Beauty of the Lowcountry

One of the gifts of moving here is discovering the charm of the South Carolina Lowcountry—a place known for coastal marshes, winding waterways, historic towns, Spanish moss, and sunsets that stop you in your tracks. It’s a region that invites families to slow down, breathe deeply, and build meaningful community.

And at JPII, you’ll find that same spirit—peaceful, welcoming, and deeply rooted in tradition and mission.
