Project Lead the Way

PLTW empowers students to develop and apply in-demand, transportable skills by exploring real-world challenges. Through our pathways in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, students not only learn technical skills, but also learn to solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate, and collaborate. We also provide teachers with the training, resources, and support they need to engage students in real-world learning.

JPII offers the Gateway program with five middle school courses and three PLTW programs of study with nine hands-on and engaging courses.

PLTW Gateway (7th grade): Computer Science for Innovators & Makers, Medical Detectives (Life Science), and Energy & the Environment (Life Science)

PLTW Gateway (8th grade): App Creators and Flight & Space (Physical Science)

PLTW Computer Science: Computer Science Essentials, Computer Science Principles, Computer Science A, and Cybersecurity

PLTW Engineering: Engineering Essentials, Principles of Engineering, and Aerospace Engineering (offered in 2022-23 school year)
