President's Welcome

Dear Prospective JPII Families,
Welcome, and thank you for considering John Paul II Catholic School for your child’s education. We are grateful for your interest in our community and excited that you are exploring what makes JPII such a special place for students and families throughout the Lowcountry.
At John Paul II Catholic School, our mission is to form young men and women who are scholars with a soul. Rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church, we strive to develop the whole student, academically, spiritually, socially, and physically, while preparing our students to live lives of faith, leadership, and service.
JPII serves students in grades 6–12 during some of the most formative years of their lives. These years are a time when young minds are challenged, character is shaped, and faith takes deeper root. Through a Christ-centered education, our faculty and staff work closely with families to instill the values, knowledge, and habits that will prepare students for success in college and beyond, while also forming them as disciples of Christ.
Our school offers a rigorous academic program that includes College Prep, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses, along with innovative opportunities such as Project Lead the Way, which engages students in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science. In addition, our Marian Center for Learning provides individualized support to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed and grow with confidence.
Beyond the classroom, JPII is a vibrant community where students can discover their passions through athletics, clubs, leadership opportunities, and service. Whether competing as Golden Warriors on the field, performing in the arts, or serving others through ministry and outreach, our students are encouraged to use their gifts for the glory of God and the good of others.
What truly makes JPII unique, however, is our community. Families, faculty, staff, and students work together to create an environment where every student is known, supported, and challenged to become the person God created them to be. When families join JPII, they quickly discover that they are becoming part of something much larger—a faith-filled family committed to excellence.
My wife Julie and I feel blessed to be part of this community along with our children, and we are continually inspired by the faith, dedication, and spirit that define JPII.
I warmly invite you to visit our campus, meet our students and faculty, and experience firsthand the faith, energy, and excellence that make John Paul II Catholic School such a special place.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Golden Warrior family.
Blessings,
David A. Lima
