What a Great Friendsgiving Friday at JPII!

A Thanksgiving Blessing

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the gift of this JPII family—for students eager to learn, for teachers who inspire, for staff who support, and for parents who sacrifice. Bless our homes and gatherings this Thanksgiving with peace, love, and laughter. May we recognize Your hand in every blessing and may our gratitude lead us ever closer to You. Strengthen our bonds of unity, renew our hope for the future, and guide us in serving one another in humility and joy. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

We are so grateful for the generosity of our community—each House contributed helpful volunteers, drinks and utensils, and delicious desserts and treats that made the day feel extra special. Our Golden Warriors showed once again that when we come together, we create something truly joyful.

At the end of the day, students took part in two fun Friendsgiving activities. First, they created a “thankful turkey” by writing the name of someone they appreciate on the turkey’s body, then adding feathers that listed the things they love about that person—a heartfelt reminder of the people who make our lives brighter.

They also jumped into a high-energy round of “Hungry Hungry Hippos,” where students acted as the “hippos,” riding on scooters while teammates pushed or pulled them toward a pile of balls. Using baskets, each “hippo” scooped up as many balls as possible before racing back to unload and go again. Teams competed against the clock, gathering laughter and memories along the way.

Thank you, Warriors, for filling our tables—and our hearts. What a wonderful way to kick off the season of gratitude!
