John Paul II Catholic School teed off in style at the high school Heritage Academy Golf Tournament held at Berkeley Hall Golf Club. The Warriors brought their A-game and walked away with a commanding victory over seven competing schools, finishing with a team score of 148—an impressive 21 strokes ahead of the nearest competitor.
The charge was led by standout Ryan George, who fired a sizzling 4-under-par 32, showcasing precision and poise on the course. Hot on his heels was Brayden Frickel, carding a solid 1-under 35. Rounding out the team’s stellar performance were Adrian Simmons (39), Sofie Hannagan (42), and Dylan Folscroft (44).
JPII’s Ryan George was also crowned medalist of the event, posting the lowest individual score of the tournament with a 2-under 34 for the official competition round.
"Our team came out confident and composed today," said JPII head golf coach, Mark Waninger. "The players managed the course with smart shot selections and stayed mentally tough throughout the round. I’m especially proud of how they supported one another—it was a real team win."
