Standing Ovation for JPII Fine Arts at SCISA —Rugby Daniel Wins Best Actor!

The spotlight was on our talented JPII Middle School and High School theater students as they took the stage at the SCISA Drama Festival in Sumter—and they delivered performances that made our entire Golden Warrior community proud!

While our ensembles did not place this year, both groups showcased tremendous growth, confidence, and creativity, proving just how far our fine arts program continues to soar. From character development to stage presence to teamwork, our students poured their hearts into every moment on stage and represented JPII with excellence.

“Our theater students showed extraordinary progress and passion," said Drama Director Emily Brown. "Their energy, talent, and willingness to take risks on stage were inspiring. I could not be more proud of their hard work and their joyful commitment to the arts.”

We are especially excited to celebrate a standout achievement: Rugby Daniel (7th grade) earned Best Actor among all middle school performers for his role as Roger in “No Fault Driving School.” His performance captivated judges and earned well-deserved recognition. Well done, Rugby!!

A huge congratulations to all our performers and to our incredible fine arts faculty for guiding and uplifting our young artists. The stage is just the beginning—JPII Fine Arts continues to shine!
