Making A Wish Come True

At John Paul II Catholic School, our JPII Wish Club is making a difference by bringing hope, strength, and joy to children battling critical illnesses. This week, the club has been selling Candygrams to raise funds for the South Carolina Make-A-Wish program, with a goal to support a local child and their family in need.

Under the leadership of President Hannah Ketchledge, a JPII senior, the club has already raised an impressive $1,000. But the mission doesn't stop there—it's time to rally even more support through our online giving portal to ensure we reach our goal of granting a life-changing wish this year. Hannah’s passion and drive continue the incredible legacy started by Brad Campbell, Class of 2024 alum and founding president, who helped the club raise over $10,000 last year to make a Bluffton child’s dream a reality.

"Every dollar counts because the statistics are powerful: each year, approximately 15,780 children in the U.S. are diagnosed with cancer," said Hannah. "For these kids, a granted wish can be a game-changer—it’s not just a moment of joy but a spark of strength that empowers them to keep fighting." The Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 500,000 wishes worldwide, and families report that the experience gave their child a boost of emotional resilience during their medical journey.

Join us in making an impact—together, we can bring a beacon of hope to a local family in need. Visit our online giving portal today to help us make dreams come true. Let's show the world the power of JPII compassion and community!
