JPII PTO Spreads Gratitude with a Delicious "Thankful Thursday" Feast

The spirit of appreciation was alive and well at John Paul II Catholic School this week, as the PTO Teacher Appreciation Committee treated our incredible faculty and staff to a heartfelt "Thankful Thursday" luncheon. It was a flavorful expression of gratitude served up with love—and plenty of pasta!

The event featured a warm and savory Italian feast, generously sponsored by the Iskandar family. On the menu: savory meatballs, perfectly cooked penne pasta, fresh salad, buttery garlic rolls, and a sweet finishing touch of tiramisu. The lunch was met with joy and gratitude.

“The teachers loved it!” shared PTO President Miranda Shipman. “We had many smiling faces.”

The PTO’s “Thankful Thursday” events are part of a year-round commitment to celebrate and support the faculty and staff who pour so much into the lives of JPII students each day. With the thoughtful generosity of JPII families and the dedicated PTO Teacher Appreciation Committee, these moments of kindness and community continue to nourish both body and spirit.

A heartfelt thank you to the Iskandar family for their generosity, and to all who help make these events possible. We are blessed with a Warrior family that knows how to show appreciation—and how to serve up a great meal!

Want to be part of the fun? The PTO is always looking for helping hands and big hearts! Join us in making a difference and celebrating our incredible JPII community—one event (and one delicious dish!) at a time! Our next meeting is scheduled for May 7 at 8am in the athletic center.
