A Week of Gratitude: Wrapping Up Teacher Appreciation Week at JPII

As we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week last week, we extend our deepest thanks to the incredible faculty and staff of JPII. Your unwavering commitment, compassion, and creativity make a lasting impact on our students every single day. This week was a celebration of you—and all that you do to shape hearts, minds, and futures.

With the theme “Passport Around the World,” each day brought a new destination and a fresh opportunity to honor our teachers with joy and gratitude:

Day 1: Mexico (Cinco de Mayo) – We kicked off the week with a festive nacho bar, complete with all the fixings and upbeat music to set the tone for a week of celebration.

Day 2: Rome, Vatican City – Teachers received beautifully curated gift bags with rosaries, holy water, and prayer cards, followed by an afternoon snack cart delivering savory and sweet surprises.

Day 3: Lebanon – Our community came together for an incredible homemade Lebanese meal featuring fresh tabbouleh, hummus, manakish, and decadent desserts. It was a true culinary blessing, lovingly prepared and served.

Day 4: New York City – The Big Apple brought big smiles! Teachers were gifted shopping bags filled with Amazon and local gift cards, NYC-themed treats, candles, and a classic red apple. The snack cart returned, bringing extra cheer throughout campus.

Day 5: Paris – We closed the week with a magnifique Parisian breakfast, offering a delicious spread that was truly “délicieuse.” It was the perfect way to end a week full of love and appreciation.

"We offer our sincere gratitude to the JPII PTO, whose creativity, generosity, and attention to every detail made this week so memorable," commented JPII President David Lima. "Special thanks to everyone who donated time, resources, decorations, and delicious food to bring each destination to life. Your efforts were deeply appreciated by all. To our teachers: thank you for being the heart of JPII. Your dedication inspires us, and your impact is immeasurable. You are a blessing to this school community."
